Georgia Topley is a London-based Casting Director, working internationally. She is led by an interest in material and creative collaboration, managing projects of varying scale.
Georgia has worked in casting since 2016, starting off at BAFTA-winning Des Hamilton Casting, where she worked for over 6 years on projects including; Oscar-winning Jojo Rabbit, David Michôd's The King, Claire Denis’ High Life, Top Boy (BAFTA-winner for Casting), Time Bandits (Apple TV+), and The Marvels (Disney). She set up independently in 2023, casting BAFTA-nominated Muriel d’Ansembourg's debut feature Truly Naked, produced by Els Vandevorst (Brimstone) which is currently in post-production.
Georgia’s previous credits include the feature films; Vesper (starring Eddie Marsan and Rosy McEwen) and Ordinary Love (starring Lesley Manville and Liam Neeson) and the television series; Trigger Point (created by BAFTA-winner Jed Mercurio) and Ten Pound Poms (created by BAFTA-winner Daniel Brocklehurst). She has cast numerous short films in collaboration with creatives including; BAFTA-nominated director Kris Kelly, Chris Urch (Blackout starring BAFTA-winner Mawaan Rizwan), Amelia Dimoldenberg, Frank Lebon, Olivia Erlanger and Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe-nominated actor Jeremy Pope—whose short God Is Good was recently acquired by The Criterion Channel.
Forthcoming releases include; Sisu 2 produced by Good Chaos and acquired by Sony Pictures, with Stephen Lang (Avatar) in the lead opposite Jorma Tommila (Sisu) and The Yellow Tie, a biopic about Romanian conductor Sergiu Celibidache starring John Malkovich, Miranda Richardson, and Sean Bean. Lorna Tucker's documentary Garbo: Where Did You Go? narrated by Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) will stream on Netflix later this year.
She is currently casting debut features from Taisia Deeva (The Cure) and Danny Lee (Junior Bangers), The Face Of Horror from iconic feminist filmmaker Anna Biller (The Love Witch) and Oddly Flowers by Jordan Canning (Schitt's Creek), amongst other projects in development.
Georgia is a member of The European Film Academy, BAFTA Connect and a probationary member of the Casting Directors Guild.
